Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, comprehensive dental treatment is offered to the public.

  • Is the clinic the right choice for you?

JCU Dental is a teaching clinic. All treatments are delivered to a high standard by senior JCU Dentistry students under the supervision of experienced dental professionals. To ensure a high standard of treatment, you will notice the duration of appointments will be longer than those you have experienced elsewhere.

  • Do you offer concession card discounts?

Patients who hold Queensland concession cards enjoy general dentistry without charge.

  • How can I take care of my teeth between dental check-ups?

There are a few age-old rules you need to follow to maintain your oral and dental health while you are away from us. The first and most important is to brush your teeth and tongue at least twice a day or after meals. You should also make an effort to floss at least once. Make sure you are using a toothpaste that contains fluoride—if you require a fluoride rinse, please ask a member of our team. Also, where possible, avoid foods and drinks that contain a lot of sugar.
